Mission & Vision
Our mission is to join God in his restoration work through the gospel ministry of
creation care. We will equip our church for
environmental ministry, and collaborate with community members & organizations.
Near-Term Vision
To empower Calvary members & community members to enjoy and to care for God’s extraordinary creation. This will include seasonal litter pilgrimages, our annual “Creation Care Kids” summer program, hosting an annual creation care conference, and education in tree planting.
Long-Term Vision
Is to be a leading creation care congregation in Cleveland in order to make a greater impact on preserving God’s creation. We will empower additional churches locally and nationally in the Reformed Church in America to begin creation care ministries.
Overall Vision
To re-learn stewardship of the earth, air, and water so that humans are benefited; and to give glory to God our Creator so that folks who know us will come to trust & follow Jesus Christ, and on that Great Day, eat from the tree of life with us in God’s restored creation (Revelation 22:2).
Creation Care Ministry is expanding in Cleveland! Folks from Calvary are part of the West Side Creation Care Team, which meets on the 3rd Wednesday each month at 7:00 pm at St. Paul’s Church, 4427 Franklin Blvd. Come join us! Contact westsidecreationcare@gmail.com for info.
